Teacher Appreciation week is Feb 12th-15th. That week the lower division is offering teachers a daily opportunity for some time to relax and recharge! We are requesting a small (4) group of parent volunteers to supervise lunch and recess Monday - Thursday, 11am - 1pm.
These volunteers are expected to focus solely on the students during the shift: assisting with meals (i.e. opening packets and bottles, encouraging them to eat, monitoring cleanup, etc), and monitoring for rough-housing and other behaviors. The Lower Division leadership emphasizes that socialization amongst the parent volunteers themselves should be limited, as ALL eyes and ears are needed to keep the 1st-4th graders safe. We want to avoid incidents at lunch and recess that would ultimately result in more work for the teachers once they return to duty.
